Diversity by Design: emergent agricultural technologies for small-scale farming
The Diversity by Design project aims to better understand both affordances and limitations of emergent (digital) technologies for fostering a diverse agricultural food production landscape, with a view to agricultural policy adaptions. As part of a research team of social scientists led by Dr. Kelly Bronson, which ranges in their expertise from big data and 'smart' applications experimental and participatory approaches to transforming agrifood systems, the core of the project are participatory workshops with farmers, market gardeners in in the Ottawa area in Ontario and Québec. It also includes a survey for farmers that runs through fall 2021 (in English and French). Check out our webpage for more info.
